Google has acquired this company some time ago, last year I believe, now they have integrated the features of Picnik into their social network and Chrome Book laptops. So, in theory this service will continue to live on for a long time, but the site will be dead soon enough. I am glad to have a very responsive and useful image editing tool built into the Google+ network, but I am sad to see the web site go. This was one of the few online photo editing services that I ever really used and now I will have jump through some hoops just to get to it.

Well, if you are computer nerd or a social media guru, you most likely knew this one was coming some time ago, just not when. Well, the time has come and Facebook is rolling out their new timeline featured display option. Using the new FB timeline, you can see your friends and family’s history through time. Starting with their birth this new view allows others to view your history in a very visually appealing view and it really is quite interesting.

This update is one of the first ascetic changes to Facebook in a while. The overall viewing ability is very cool and you will most likely learn to love the timeline feature very soon. However, some people are very curious if this will turn into another FB security scare and this is one reason that they have not forced their users to take the change against their will, at least not yet.

If you are one of the few who are really concerned about privacy the chances are that you are not a big user of social sites like this, but being able to look through other people’s lives in a flipbook style format is very cool and this may draw in some new users for Facebook, as if everybody on the planet is not already using this site.

Other Options For Video Content Online

There are many other places you can share your videos online. I am still happy with my YouTube account and have been using Viddler.com for other purposes, but it is only a matter of time when any company starts up a business that does not have a sustainable business model. Changes are sure to be coming to other sites like this one in the near future if they are not able to bring in the ad revenue and paid accounts to substantiate their server and bandwidth expenses. I am sure Google is going nowhere soon, so I am most likely to start using my YouTube account even more.
