Say Goodbye To Picnik And Welcome Google+ Photo Editing
Google quit killing our favorite web apps! OK, that may be a little over the top, but it is definitely what it feels like as Google continues to buy out companies and integrate their services only to squash the original company. We have seen this happen with blogger, picasa, gtalk (many others I am sure) and now with Picnik. This cool free photo editing site is going to close on the 16 of April and if you want to use there service from now until then, you can get the premium service for free, which is a nice parting gift I suppose.
Google has acquired this company some time ago, last year I believe, now they have integrated the features of Picnik into their social network and Chrome Book laptops. So, in theory this service will continue to live on for a long time, but the site will be dead soon enough. I am glad to have a very responsive and useful image editing tool built into the Google+ network, but I am sad to see the web site go. This was one of the few online photo editing services that I ever really used and now I will have jump through some hoops just to get to it.
You can use the Picnik Premium For Free until the site closes down, so go ahead and get your free premium access now and if you are Google Plusser, come put me in a circle today!

So, in closing, I hope the best for the new Picnik web based image installer and all that it will bring to Google users and hope that it continues to be a powerful image editing software that consumers love even at its new home inside the Google eco-system.
Please leave any comments you have on the death of Picnik below, I would love to hear what you think about this change coming to Google+.
